Kia ora Nick, this is Kieryn from the Summer Learning Journey. You have done an awesome job creating this venn diagram which compares the two aviators Jean Batten and Amelia Earhart. I never knew that Jean died from a dog bite, or that Amelia was born in Kansas, so thank you for sharing this new information. Did you know that Amelia was 23 years old when she had her first flight, and that Jean was just 16 years old during hers? They both must have had such a passion for aviation having started so young! Jean Batten’s first flight occurred 15 years after Amelia Earhart’s, and Amelia Earhart disappeared only 2 years after Jean was born (in 1937). It is amazing how much information we are able to find out about people who were living over 100 years ago! Things have changed so much since the time of Jean Batten and Amelia Earhart. Do you think that in 100 years time the world will be the same as it is now? What kinds of things do you think will be different? Nga mihi
No I don't thing the world will be the same in 100 years. I think some of the differences will be: *More energy efficient cars and houses *Hopefully less plastic produced and more recycling What do you think will have changed? Nga mihi Nick
